Over the past few years I've participated in Ali Edward's Week in the Life. In 2011 and 2012 I created a simple hybrid album, which you can see here. I wrote about a few ideas I had for doing it digi style, but this year I'm simplifying further going to a pocket style page with the Project Life App.
On Monday, I just focused on getting it done. Not too much detail but captured some moments of our everyday.
Edward and Emily played with Grandma Okely while I took Lucy for her immunisations. They enjoyed reading the books Steve brought back from North Pole and blowing bubbles. Even Sesame Street joined in on the fun with bubble there too! Lucy and I took our trip to the Dr, Red Dot and Kmart looking for party costumes and a couple of presents. School, loom bands, cooking lasagne and folding washing filled out the day!
Emily was thrilled and thankful for her Elsa costume. Edward's joy at getting a new 'hoot' nappy
Emily: Lucy keeps laughing whenever I go away.
Full disclosure: I got my dates mixed up after listening to Ali Edwards on the Capture Your 365 and started a week early! Oops!
The process
Here's how the process worked:
- Snap photos on my phone
- Snap photos on my camera (Canon G16) and upload them automatically using my Eye Fi card
- Jot notes about my schedule on Hello Mornings worksheet (Ali's daily sheets are perfect for WITL, but I was already using Hello Mornings ones each day)
- Write a few notes about my day in a journal.
- Pull my phone photos into the Project Life App
- Browse my camera photos on the Crashplan App (or the Flickr App depending on the day!) and save them to my phone.
- Make the page in the Project Life App. Here's my tutorial
- I selected Design F and Midnight kit to keep the pages simple - no color clashing to worry about!
- Save as a 12x12
