Today I'm sharing the last day and cover in my Week in the Life 2014 album as part of the Make it Monday blog hop. If you didn't arrive from Karen's post remember to check it out.
Sunday
Sunday began with another week learning about the Parable of the Sower (or rather the soil.) Edward ran right into Pebbles. After church we had a quick lunch and Edward took a nap. Phill has a wild goose chase down to Cash and Carry (they changed Sunday opening times then never even opened). Lucy got woken both ways on trips to church and the party but was pretty happy even with broken sleep. We ended the evening with our traditional washing folding while watching TV.
Sunday was the day of the long awaited Frozen birthday party. Annie (4) and Elizabeth (6) had a dress up Frozen/Sleeping Beauty party. At the party Emily was dressed as Elsa and Edward as Sven the Reindeer (with the moose hat Steve brought back from Canada). Much eating, dancing contests and creating Snow Mums.
Cover
Just a simple snapshot of us. I need to find one of Phill that suits, but thankfully with digi scrapping it's easy enough to just change up one of the photos.
The Whole Album
The process
Here's how the process worked:
- Snap photos on my phone
- Snap photos on my camera (Canon G16) and upload them automatically using my Eye Fi card
- Jot notes about my schedule on Hello Mornings worksheet (Ali's daily sheets are perfect for WITL, but I was already using Hello Mornings ones each day)
- Write a few notes about my day in a journal.
- Pull my phone photos into the Project Life App
- Browse my camera photos on the Crashplan App (or the Flickr App depending on the day!) and save them to my phone.
- Make the page in the Project Life App. Here's my tutorial
- I selected the Midnight kit to keep the pages simple - no color clashing to worry about!
- Save as a 12x12
Now I've completed my album, I'm tossing up about adding some extra photo collage pages. I'll probably order it as a softcover book as it's pretty short and sweet.
Other Finished Albums
Over the past few years I've participated in Ali Edward's Week in the Life. I've written about a few ideas I had for doing it digi style, but this year I'm simplifying further going to a pocket style page with the Project Life App. In 2011 and 2012 I created a simple hybrid album, which you can see here.

I love it Melissa and I am so glad that I attempted this project courtesy of your first post about week in the life. I love how you did everything with the app. I think I might try it that way next year!
