The question is: WHAT TO DO WITH ALL THE STUFF? How do you find what you want in the mess of folders? It can be very difficult!

Today I want to show you how Photoshop Elements Organizer creates a database of your files. It does not move any files or store them within its database. Organizer creates a thumbnail of your image and stores it along with the metadata (date, keyword and other file information) in the Organizer database buried deep in your hard drive. The files you import stay where they are on your hard disk.

Three Ways to Find Your Supplies

With 135,367 items in my stash you might think it would be difficult to find my supplies. I've got three ways I can search for the perfect element/alpha/kit I'm looking for.

• Find Menu - This is a great way to search. I will use a filename search to find all the items by a favorite designer.
• Automatic Tags - Sometimes I use the search function to find items by their automatic tags. The great thing about this is that I don't have to spend hours tagging items before I can find them. It's not a perfect solution, but it can narrow things down for you.
•  Albums - You can create albums to hold a group of supplies together. I've got an album of kits that I want to use. It allows me to remember which kits I've been wanting to use on layouts.
