This month we will be talking all about digital scrapbooking. I'll be showing you how you can get started and some techniques you can use to make digital scrapbooking fun, fast and fabulous!
Are you new to digital scrapbooking? I'm here to help with a short video to explain more.
Digital scrapbooking is a way to use your computer (or phone!) to capture your thoughts and words, along with your photos and some gorgeous digital decoration.
On a typical digital scrapbook page you'll find:
Photos
I often choose between 1-3 photos and resize them all to fit in a column. You can easily add a white border to help the photos stand out!
Journalling
You can type out the story, and format the text as you would for any document. I love using a handwriting font for my journalling to add a personal touch.
Paper
Digital scrapbook papers are jpg files, like your photos. You can add them to your page and trim them down to create layers, photo mats and other shapes.
Embellishments
Talented graphic designers create embellishments for you to use in your pages. Digital supplies are png files that you can drag onto your layout. You can add interest to your page by using decorative letters for a title, washi tape, and flowers or photo frames to finish the page.
Templates
If that all sounds too much you can start with a pre-made design. Designers create layered templates with spots for photos, paper, journaling and embellishments already set up for you. You just add the items, clip them into place and your page is as unique as your photos and supplies!
