Recently I was featured on Shutterfly in a collection of 80 creative photobook ideas. There are so many amazing ideas on this list. I felt honored to be included!
Some of my favourite ideas were:
- Art School Memories - a photobook full of your children's (or your own) artwork is a great way to keep all of those adorable pictures without having to actually keep all of those adorable pictures!
- All Grown Up - my children may be little now, but I look forward to documenting their lives as teenagers.
- Neighborhood Love - go on a photo walk around your neighborhood and create a book honoring the place you live.
- Learn Your ABCs - as a homeschooling mum I love this idea for creating a book to help my children learn. I could engage all my children by letting the older ones come up with a photo idea for each letter and then share the book with the younger ones.
- Her Style - what a fun idea to document a child's sense of style. They will love looking at the photos of their fashionable outfits.
Of course my favourite idea was documenting your child's first year. Look how cute that cover model is!
To create Lucy's First Year album I used the Project Life App, Baby for Her Digital Kit and Photoshop Elements. I used one or two pages for each month and finished with Lucy's first birthday celebration.
Learn how to create your own photobooks!
I love printing my own books from my collection of scrapbook pages. This year a goal of mine is to print more of my scrapbook pages off my computer and into books. So far in my collection I have 11 photobooks and I aim to add another two or three in the next year.
I've learned a lot while creating these books and I wanted to share them with you, so I created a class to show you how to take your pages and get them published.
Happy publishing!
