Each Friday, I give you a sneak peek inside my family scrapbook. See what I'm scrapping, and grab some inspiration for your weekend.
This week I've got a special free download for you too - a simple template for you to create your own page.
For Day 1 of Simple Scrapper's Stash Bash one of the challenges was to dig back into our supplies and use something old.
The Layout: In the Blink of an Eye
Journalling
Yes one day you were so tiny and the next you are almost one. Edward at 3 weeks
Process
I had a photo in mind, so I flicked through my oldest supplies in Photoshop Elements Organizer and pulled out the blue paper.
I had to go with kraft paper to mat the photo - the skin tones were looking a bit sick on all that blue especially with the blue flannel too. Thanks Noell from Paperclipping for that tip - it saved me the 30 seconds RadLabbing the photo!
I and move the koala sticker so the visual triangle of text/white traverses the photo.
One thing I learn from this stash bash is that with the older papers, the textures just aren't as realistic. So, I'm actually going to purge a lot of stuff since now the standards have greatly improved and things have changed in the digi world.
