Heading into our fourth day of week in the life, I noticed that my photos dwindle towards the evening, so today I took the time to write a little more about our bedtime routines. I do have other photos of the little ones going to bed, so you never know, I may actually re-use this journaling on another page with the photos. I did totally miss out on photos from our Scarborough Crafts Meetup Group. The three new ladies were first to arrive, so I was a little reticent to pull out the camera and then I forgot about it in the hustle and bustle. Again, I just focused my journaling on the parts of the day when I missed taking pictures.
Journaling: Scarborough Crafts Meet Up: The ladies quilted, sewed, crocheted and crafted. I worked on the outdoor umbrella. Isabel and Margie played with Emily and Edward. Lucy enjoyed some cuddles and time on the mat. Thankfully the Frozen hair clips arrived after Edward's baby book stole the limelight.
Bedtime: Edward and Emily usually have baths together then read Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear with Daddy. He sings them Yes I love you with the love of the Lord and says a little prayer. Dear Lord Jesus, Please help Emily and Edward to have a lovely night's sleep. We do have a pretty consistent routine so that we don't have to deal with negotiations and power struggles. It also makes it easy for baby sitters to know what to do. Edward sometimes comes out to see what's happening but Emily is asleep within 5 minutes!
The process
Here's how the process worked:
- Snap photos on my phone
- Snap photos on my camera (Canon G16) and upload them automatically using my Eye Fi card
- Jot notes about my schedule on Hello Mornings worksheet (Ali's daily sheets are perfect for WITL, but I was already using Hello Mornings ones each day)
- Write a few notes about my day in a journal.
- Pull my phone photos into the Project Life App
- Browse my camera photos on the Crashplan App (or the Flickr App depending on the day!) and save them to my phone.
- Make the page in the Project Life App. Here's my tutorial
- I selected Design F and Midnight kit to keep the pages simple - no color clashing to worry about!
- Save as a 12x12
