Like many people weekends can be full of fun, and even overflowing with activities if you aren't careful. My husband likes room for spontaneity so we tend not to book more than two events each weekend. At the moment it's swimming and church, that leaves us space for Spontaneous Games Nights! Side note: I finally got Phill in the picture and its day 6.
Today was a busy day. Emily and I headed to dance to trace patterns then it was straight off to swimming lessons. Lunch was for toasted sandwiches (salad for me). Edward got his eye checked by the call out Dr. Emily and I made, you guessed it, loom bands. Skib popped in for a quick visit and got to see Lucy's rolling skills.
Phill made the trek to Baker's Hill to redeem a Christmas present: Rally car laps. He had a great time driving a WRX and Evo. Now to convince work to use it as a team building activity.
We try to keep our weekends open for spontaneous visits with friends/family and the occasional games night, so we do our shopping during the week. This term swimming lessons are at 10:30am Saturday (rather than Sunday 8am!).
The process
Here's how the process worked:
- Snap photos on my phone
- Snap photos on my camera (Canon G16) and upload them automatically using my Eye Fi card
- Jot notes about my schedule on Hello Mornings worksheet (Ali's daily sheets are perfect for WITL, but I was already using Hello Mornings ones each day)
- Write a few notes about my day in a journal.
- Pull my phone photos into the Project Life App
- Browse my camera photos on the Crashplan App (or the Flickr App depending on the day!) and save them to my phone.
- Make the page in the Project Life App. Here's my tutorial
- I selected Design G and Midnight kit to keep the pages simple - no color clashing to worry about!
- Save as a 12x12
