Today I focused a little more on Emily's (and our) school day. Like most people school takes up a few hours of our day, though I spend the time teaching, rather than doing pick ups/drop offs/paperwork. We visit the library which is just 500m up the road from our home.
This morning began with a walk and some extra time for Daddy to play before he took the car to have the Bluetooth fixed.
Emily is just finishing the year of pre-primary and it an enthusiastic learner. We start school at 8 with our animal/letter sound songs and break for morning tea at 9:30 and lunch at around 11:30.
When Lucy woke at 12 we headed to the Woodvale Public Library to borrow some books and DVDs. Edward has his sleep at 1:30 and Emily and I did some loom bands and sewing. The funniest thing that happened today was discovering 5 socks in the bottom of Lucy's sleeping bag! Daddy arrived home a little late and we ate fish & chips (and salad) for dinner.
The process
Here's how the process worked:
- Snap photos on my phone
- Snap photos on my camera (Canon G16) and upload them automatically using my Eye Fi card
- Jot notes about my schedule on Hello Mornings worksheet (Ali's daily sheets are perfect for WITL, but I was already using Hello Mornings ones each day)
- Write a few notes about my day in a journal.
- Pull my phone photos into the Project Life App
- Browse my camera photos on the Crashplan App (or the Flickr App depending on the day!) and save them to my phone.
- Make the page in the Project Life App. Here's my tutorial
- I selected Design F and Midnight kit to keep the pages simple - no color clashing to worry about!
- Save as a 12x12
