It's time to share some Week in the Life inspiration! This week Ali Edwards is leading her annual real life documentation project, Week in the Life. This week I'll be sharing my Week in the Life scrapbook layouts to give you a little sneak peek into what I’m scrapping, and inspire you to play with pretty pixels too.

Ali Edwards' Week in the Life is a yearly documentation project where individuals document their daily routine and activities during an entire week. Participants take pictures and notes throughout the day on everything from meals to work to routines, and then compile them into a scrapbook or digital album. The idea behind the project is to capture the everyday moments and create a snapshot of one's daily life during a specific week. Participants can also share their completed albums with the Week in the Life community.

This week I'll be sharing pages I created in May 2020, so it will be interesting to look back at how different our life is now!

In previous years, homeschooling made us unusual, until 2020 when suddenly our life (minus all our activities) was the norm. For a few weeks anyway.

Today's Takeaway

Make sure to get yourself in the picture! Use a self timer (your smart watch can help!) or ask a family member to snap a photo. The photo of me helping Edward was blurry but I had to use it!

Create the Look

Today I stayed with all my usual techniques! I used an Ali Edwards journalling card for the typewritten journaling.

I used a big photo of my cross stitch as a background

Create a title with a font and stroke

I created a photo collage all on my own for the right hand page of this spread. You can use snapping features to help you align all your photos.

There are several options for snapping, to see them all choose View > Snap To, and select Grid.

You can move the layers around with the Move tool (V) and notice how they gravitate toward the grid lines, making it easy to position them accurately.

Journaling

Morning: This morning the shopping was delivered at 7am! Our first time back with online shopping since March. People flooded the online systems so it was cancelled. Until today!

Afternoon: I ate soup for lunch.
Reading, NUmberblocks (everyones favourite show at the moment and drawing after school. After work we did the Mother’s Day games from Kids TV.

Evening: Dinner was Parmigiana + chips. Soup for me.
We watched the Lego Masters Star Wars episode. Everyone was so excited.
