So, I just discovered this super cool software called Forever Valet, and I had to share it with you. If you’re into digital scrapbooking or just have tons of photos and videos to organize, this might just change your life!
Forever Valet is a nifty tool from Forever.com. It helps you upload all your photos and videos to your Forever online storage account. And the best part? It keeps your original file structure intact. No more re-organizing your albums once they’re uploaded. How awesome is that?
First off, you’ll need a Forever storage account to use Valet. If you don’t have one, no worries. You can sign up and get 2GB for free to test it out. Plus, there’s a 60-day trial for the Valet software itself.
Watch how I used Forever Valet to make sure I have all the photos I need uploaded, without having to worry about duplicates!
Here’s what you need to do to get started:
- Head to Forever.com/valet
- Click on the 60-day trial link.
- Download the software.
- Run the setup program.
- Accept the license agreement.
- Click install, and then click finish when it’s done.
Once it’s ready, just double-click the icon to start Valet. Enter your Forever username and password, and it’ll load your account data. Depending on how many photos you have, this might take a little time.
One thing I love about this software is that it lets you keep your local organization. So, if you’re like me and have everything sorted into neat folders, it keeps that structure when you upload.
For example, I wanted to upload all my digital scrapbook pages. I went to the “select how to organize your upload” option and chose “keep local organization.” Then, I selected the album where I wanted everything to go.
I started with just one folder, the Lewis Street album, to test it out. The software quickly found all 43 files and began uploading them. It uploaded 18 items and skipped 25 because they were duplicates. Pretty cool that it doesn’t upload duplicates, right?
So, I checked my albums, and everything was where it should be. The 18 new photos were in the photo books folder, and the 25 duplicates were already in the Lewis Street album.
The best thing about Forever Valet is that it keeps your photos organized just like you have them on your computer. You can also use it to download your photos if you ever need to.
