Did you know that each year Big Picture Classes runs a free live workshop? No?
Today, I've invited my good friend Monica Bradford to tell you all about it...
Hi! I'm Monica Bradford from ScrapInspired.com and I'm so excited to be here sharing with you today! I was lucky enough to get the chance to teach at the Big Picture "Big Idea Festival" starting on Sept. 5th. If you've never participated in the Big Idea Festival, it is a FREE 10 day event with inspiration from 10 amazing instructors. I have participated in many Big Idea Festivals as a student and have always loved the projects and pages I have created. And there's not much better than amazing content for FREE!
This year the Big Idea Festival is focused on celebrating childhood memories. Too often we spend time scrapbooking our children that we forget to take time to tell our own story. And who better to tell your story than you? Who else is going to know all the ins and outs of YOU at 13? I mean that girl with a bad perm and a butterfly necklace definitely has a story to tell. With the Big Idea Festival as your guide you will be able to quickly and easily get those stories told.
Now I know what you are thinking, "But I'm a digi girl. What's in this for me?" You could take this class in two ways. You could use the prompts and lists as a jumping point for creating your digi pages. Tell the stories, but create the album in your own way. In fact this may just be the motivation you need to get a few of those older photos digitized!
Or maybe you'd love to try your hand at a bit of hybrid work. This project would be a PERFECT and easy entry point into hybrid scrapping. No need for paper scrapbooking supplies, just a simple 4x6 photo album and some printer paper. In fact, in my own album I used several 4x6 digital templates like the one above. I loved the simplicity of adding a handful of photos to a template, printing it out and pairing it with a printed list. I seriously had 3 childhood stories told in about an hour.
The more I worked on this project, the more excited I got about telling my childhood stories. My life matters, and my stories deserve to be told. And I love that I now have a quick and easy way to do just that.
I really hope you'll join me at the Big Idea Festival starting on Sept. 5! With a price tag of $0 what have you got to lose? And with the opportunity to tell 30 of your stories...you just my have a whole lot to gain.
