Are you looking for gift ideas for the Dad in your life? These super simple Father's Day gifts can be created quickly and easily. They are the perfect way to celebrate your favorite Dad or Grandpa!
Scrapbook Pages as Art
Are you a scrapbooker or what? Whether you create digital pages or traditional paper layouts it's easy to turn those memories into a gift. Simply create a page about the person you want to celebrate. For my fellow digi scrappers you can then print out the page to frame. I like to use Persnickety Prints, but you can use any printer that will do 12x12 prints. Or to keep things even simpler, create a page to fit the printer or frame you have!
Then find a lovely frame. I like the look of a large frame with a mat. It gives the scrapbook page a feeling of high end art! Since I printed my layout as 12x12 I used a frame that would hold an image that size.

Handmade Frames
Do your children want to get in on the gift making action? Have them gather up fun pieces around the house to add to a frame. I created this frame in under an hour at a local Mothers of Preschoolers event. We used bolts, wood pieces and soldiers. We then hot glued them on to a simple frame and spray painted the entire thing with a gloss paint. Once that is dry you can use a paint pen to add a name to the bottom. Now you have a personalized frame to hold a family picture for Daddy.
You'll Need
- 6x4 photo print
- Small plastic toys/nuts and bolts or wood veneer stars. These ones are cute too!
- Wooden frame
- Spray paint (or any paint really! Spray paint is just quicker)
- Sharpie (to add a caption)
