Each week I share a scrapbook layout to give you a little sneak peek into what I’m scrapping, and inspire you to play with pretty pixels too.
Today I’m sharing a page from my family’s album about a sports day.
Layout: Sports Day
How I did it
I selected a few photos that I took from a recent sports day and arranged them on the page. I didn't have any specific measurements in mind, so it was a bit of trial and error to make them all fit. I want to have a lot of the gorgeous green grass throughout the page.
For the title I used alphas. I dragged them onto the page and after realising how huge they were, I thought they could be used as a major feature just didn't resize them.
I added a premade banner to be the 3rd spot of yellow on my page. I do love the rule of 3! (You can learn about that in Digi Scrap from Scratch!)
I added a couple of journal cards and then types my journalling with Debbie Hodge's favorite font: Traveling Typewriter.
Journaling
Sports Day is a highlight of the homeschool year for all of us. This year was Edward’s first year to join in, Emily and Edward did cricket skills, obstacle course, tug of war, running and ball skills. 2 March 2016
