Would you like to share your layouts on Facebook?
Today I’ll step you through the process and show you how to share your layouts with the Digital Scrapbooking HQ community on Facebook and credit your layouts easily at the same time!
Save as a JPEG
Facebook plays nicely with JPEGs, so you can use Save for Web to resize (or an action) it to a more manageable size. Then you can save it as a JPEG.
I usually stick to 600×600 pixels so that I can easily upload the same image to the galleries.
Facebook will technically handle and resize any image nowadays. It can display full screen images if the uploaded file is big enough. Keep in mind the larger the file, the longer it will take to upload.
Upload to Facebook
You can upload one layout at a time to your profile by:
1. Going to your Profile
2. Clicking the Add Photo/Video link on your profile
3. Clicking Upload Photo/Video
4. Browsing to and selecting your layout
Share with Digital Scrapbooking HQ
You then get the option to add a caption to your image. If you want to share your layout with the Digital Scrapbooking HQ community on Facebook, simply type @Digital Scrapbooking HQ in the caption section.
Add Credits
If you are a fan of the designer on Facebook, it’s easy to tag the designers you used in your layout by using the same process, for the layout above I just typed @Studio Flergs.
Albums
If you want to keep all your layouts together, I’d suggest creating a new album:
1. Clicking the Add Photo/Video link on your profile
2. Clicking Create Photo Album
3. Browsing to and selecting your layouts
4. All the photos will load and you can add captions in the Say something about this photo section and tag using @Digital Scrapbooking HQ
If you already have an album, simply browse to the album:
1. Go to your profile page
2. Click the Photos link under your profile photo
3. Click on the album you want from the Your Photos section
4. Then click the Add Photos button and upload your layout as above.
I hope to see some of your work over on the fan page soon!
