Each week I share a scrapbook layout to give you a little sneak peek into what I’m scrapping, and inspire you to play with pretty pixels too.
Today I’m sharing a page from our trip to the Gold Coast, I've linked up to the tutorials that demonstrate the techniques I've used so you can use them on your pages.
Water Fun
Journaling
Emily had seen the children running under the water sprays when we first arrived at Sea World. On Wednesday when they spent the day at Sea World with Grandma (and Grandad and Kath) they had the most fun running under around and around this little water toy. 2 October 2013

How I did it
The full collection of Project Life Sea Foam edition comes with the digital version of all the title, journalling and filler cards, as well a the paper pack. So I used both on this page.
Since I started with blank canvas, I used cards from the Sea Foam kit as photo spots (I clipped my photos to them), and for journalling with my own handwriting font. I just chose the orientation I needed to match my photos and arranged them on the page to make a blocked style design.
I loved the idea of the starburst paper background, as it gave a kind of sprinkler feel to the page but it seemed too bold for my liking. So, I added a plain white cardstock behind the photos. Problem solved!
Finally, added a single line title. I used the color picker (eyedropper) to select the yellow for the Title.
This page will be printed at 12x12 and added to my album, where I've used the physical Sea Foam Kit to hold the memorabilia from our trip.

Cute! Now that i see you have digital PL products i was wondering about your tagging… I have several PL kits and am finding it a long process to go through them all looking for the “right one” to use.

Hi Alison
Personally, I tag the previews at Project Life and then I can look through all the previews rather than all the individual cards. I don’t tag by theme but you could do that too if you like
As for the cards, I tag them by 3×4 and 6×4 too 🙂 just so it’s easy to choose the right size.
Hope that helps!
