Please give a warm welcome to our featured designer - Roxana from Romania. I spotted Roxana on Instagram and just had to share her talents with you!
Melissa
My name is Roxana Tatu and I am from Bucharest, Romania. I started digital scrapbooking in 2005, with very small steps, not with special techniques, with plain pages and no shadows, and using only freebies downloaded from different websites. I took a break at some point, for a few years, but in 2014 I came back and I practically started from scratch. I have subscribed to various sites and started to follow, I studied the pages created by others to see how I can improve my creations, to discover the ways to do pages in a more elegant and elaborated manner.
What Inspires You to Create
I started scrapbooking after I gave birth to my son Vlad, in an attempt to create a digital photo album with his pictures. It was the beginning of digital cameras, and I wanted something to preserve the memories and his growth stages in a special manner. So, at first, my inspiration was my son, but now, he is 15 years old, therefore it became a little bit hard to photograph him and to scrapbook about him.
Now I try to find inspiration in our daily life, our vacations, even my feelings.
Roxana's Supplies
Since I am exclusively a digital scrapper, my only supplies are my laptop and the collections of the great designers from The Lilypad. I have a few preferred designers, but all of them are wonderful and helped me to sustain and develop this hobby that I have.
Roxana's Techniques
I love learning new techniques and trying different styles, this makes scrapbooking dynamic and not monotonous, because I hate the routine, and I try to stay out of it. I am kind of a minimalist designer, but I try to embrace different styles. One of the techniques that I love to use is the blending photo technique, and another one, that I learned in a Month of Challenges (2017, I think) - Artistic Sketch Technique, where we had to transform a picture in a sketch.

I'd also love to hear from you if you have a scrapbooker you'd love to see featured on the site.
