Have you heard the news? In just a few weeks a new baby Shanhun will be arriving. As I'm writing this post, I'm 37 weeks pregnant and the baby could arrive any day now!
See how I'm documenting the journey and learn to create your own chipboard-look title too.
Layout: Carrying You
How I did it
I used the template as a base for my photo and paper placement and I clipped them all in place:
We don't know if baby 'Puggle' will be a boy or a girl to I tried keeping the page fairly gender neutral. But then Emily suggested the layout needed more flowers, so I added a few more!
For the title I created my own chipboard style title by:
- Adding the title using the type tool
- Clipping some paper to the type layer
- Adding a bevel to the type layer so that it looks more three dimensional
The super thing about using a type layer is that it's easy to correct a typo. As you can see, when I first shared this layout, it had an extra 'r' in it!

I used some shadow styles to add dimension.
I used my own handwriting font for the journaling. You can get one here
Journaling
Baby Puggle, soon you will be joining our family. We can’t wait to meet you! Due 13 June 2014
You joined us for our family holiday over East and even came along on the waterslides at Wet and Wild. Weeks 6-20 were hard just waiting to be able to eat. I’m so thankful we don’t have to deal with gestational diabetes as well. You are growing well and the Doctor thinks we will go to term. Now let’s wait and see. I don’t mind the wait but I must have my sleep each afternoon while Emily and Edward have their rest too.

Thanks Tammy we can’t wait!! Puggle will be baby number 3 for us 🙂

Oh, sorry! Somehow I missed that! Three is an even bigger change than two. I have a friend who says that you should never let your kids outnumber the parents 😉 LOL! I have 3 🙂

No worries Tammy 🙂

This is a lovely page, Melissa. Many congratulations! I raised 4 and after both your hands are filled it’s just a matter of juggling, because all of us who are moms qualify to be a circus act 😎 Here’s my youngest and her first precious one, because scrapping about family is so special.
