Each week I share a scrapbook layout to give you a little sneak peek into what I’m scrapping, and inspire you to play with pretty pixels too.
Today's page will likely be printed a few times, for Emily, Edward and our family album. That's the beauty of digital!
Layout: Outside Play
Create the Look
In this layout I used four frames and my journaling in a T shape for my design. I got the ideas from Debbie Hodge's Design Coach class Criss Cross. In Criss Cross, Debbie demonstrated a way to use a cross or T design to create a balanced layout. I love that you actually watch Debbie scrap and she uncovers nuggets of scrapbooking gold throughout the four videos. It's like she's right by your side! If you are keen to learn - and actually get things scrapped - you'll want to check out Debbie's classes.
Simply select the move tool and use align and distribute buttons to get your frames lined up.
Use the marquee tool to fit the photos inside the frames.
Add the journaling to make the upright of the cross design, or use other paper to fill in space if you aren't quite so verbose!
Journaling
Emily has enjoyed this little cubby. It was in a verge collection and we’ve enjoyed it for about a year. Emily is always leaning things up against the doors and window shutters to keep them closed...
Apparently Edward gets scared if he crawls in there (so she tells me), so she keeps him out.
Edward does, however love playing peek-a-boo through the windows. Giggles and squeals of joy can be heard as I hang out or get in the washing as they are playing.
Edward is overcoming the initial discomfort of crawling on the grass and is loving playing with Emily.
When Edward is asleep, Emily’s imaginary friends keep her ‘compfany’.
