Today I'm answering your questions! Here's an email I received recently.
Hi Melissa, I've decided to change my paper scrapbooking albums to digital and I'm glad I've found an Australian site. I have PS7. Would you advise me to buy the most recent version before i get started? I'm actually more at a loss as to where to safely buy my papers and embellishments, as it seems software is only sold online for download. Thanks, Kym
Thanks for your email - always lovely to hear from a fellow Aussie!
PSE7 is 8 years old now, and if your computer is also old, I'd stick with it. Generally the newer version won't run on Windows XP.
If you want to leamr
I have a number of classes that would suit PSE7 here.
If you have Windows Vista, 7 or 8 you may want to upgrade as it will be more easy to follow along with classes in newer software.
The best class to begin with is Digital Scrapbooking for Absolute Beginners.
Yes, almost all the digital scrapbooking supplies are sold via downloads (see here for the shops I use). I've not had any issues with customer service and the files are available immediately for download after payment.
Some are built into the content tab in PSE
Do you have an older version of Photoshop Elements? There's a range of classes that are recorded in your version in the store.
You can get more out of your software by taking a class recorded specifically for the software you are using. To make things easier for you I have all my classes listed for each version of Photoshop Elements. Just click on the product you own today!
- Photoshop Elements 6-9 classes
- Photoshop Elements 10 classes
- Photoshop Elements 11 classes
- Photoshop Elements 12 classes
- Photoshop Elements 13 classes
- Photoshop Elements 14 classes
Which version of Photoshop Elements do you use?

Hi Melissa – I have just bought a new computer with windows 10. I have been using PSE 7 since 2009 and would like to continue with that version for a while yet- don’t want to have to learn too many new things at the one time! Do you know if I can load my PSE 7 onto my computer and keep using it? Are there any roadblocks on the way? Can I just download my original product from the website? If not what should I do??????

Hi Jill, I only just saw this, but it seems you did run into some issues.
