Create this Look

1. 1. Begin with Simple Scrapper May 2014 Template template
   2. Edit photos with Radlab
   3. Clip the photos to the template photo spots
   4. Add an inside stroke to the photo to create a border
   5. Choose a background papers from Bermuda Triangle kit
   6. Clip the papers to the template paperspots
   7. Journal with the type tool and my handwriting font
   8. Create a title with an alpha
   9. Add some shadows

Journaling

I remember trying to explain to Grandma the words to "Let God Arise." Let God arise and his scatterbees be scattered. (Let His enemies be scattered). I must have been 7 or so at the time.

Being a good reader, I often read words long before I'd hear someone use them, so anxiety I would pronounce as an-ex-ty.

At the same time, Grandma Kerr was always teaching us words like obnoxious, surreptitious, and using them in daily life at school (and even later on with Phill earned me a few quizzical looks!)

I had trouble with spoonerisms at times - hoat-canger was one that even to this day I hesitate when I say coat-hanger.

I picked up a few baby words from my siblings: goo-moose = Excuse mehecki-tockler = Helicopter

Emily loved to sing along to Doin' it by Justine Clark. For the second verse croaky frogs were 'roaky frogs'.

More recently, Emily talked about a new television show - Chippy. When we asked about it, she told us the characters included a sheep, a blue pig, and then Phill asked her about other animals. It seemed to include every single one! Several days later, it occurred to me that it was Timmy Time she was talking about.

I'm sure there will be more to come!
