Have you ever wondered why you can't drag and drop keyword tags in Photoshop Elements? In this tutorial I will show you how to manage keyword tags in Photoshop Elements Organizer 2018.
Begin with the Preferences setting for Keyword Tags and Albums. I like to use alphabetical sorting for all areas except the top level categories. For those I prefer manual sorting.
When your categories are set to manual you can drag and drop them into whatever order you'd like.
Then the subcategories can be alphabetical. It makes it easy to find exactly what you are looking for.
Before you begin working with your keywords it's a good idea to export and save your tags. Go to Save Keyword Tags to File and Export All Keyword Tags. That way if you mess up and want to go back to the way things were you can!
If you have some keyword tags that you no longer use it's easy to tidy things up. Simply click on the box to check the keyword tag is not in use. Right-click on a keyword tag to delete it.
One of the wonderful things about Photoshop Elements Organizer 2018 is that you don't need to do a lot of tagging. With the search feature you can find many things...even kangaroos!
