Layout: UniKitty

How I did it

I began with a prompt from Layout a Day day 22: Windsor Castle/Legoland Windsor

Princess Diana loved to have fun with her sons – and she liked theme parks. There are many photos of her online, enjoying herself with them on rides at theme parks in both the UK and the USA  – this pic is from Thorpe Park in the UK:

Legoland in the UK has a great view of Windsor Castle. It opened in 1996 and although I am unsure if Diana visited, we know the Queen has been there and also Prince William and Duchess Catherine. Legoland created a display for Harry and Meghan’s wedding and also one of the Windsor’s when Prince Louis was born.

Story prompt: Create a layout using theme park photos or of a fascination for Lego

Technique prompt: Use droplets on your page to imitate water splashes.

Journaling

We spotted this awesome Princess Unikitty set at the Toyworld in Margaret River and hid it in our car for the whole trip! We all loved Unikitty from the Lego Movie and you had really wanted a Lego Friends Fair set that you had seen (with a rollercoaster). So we thought it would be perfect. You were pretty thrilled!

You wanted to show your family and friends, so you recorded a video of the set. You love making videos and make voice-overs and even pulled a cameraman in for extra support on this one (Edward!).

You’ve been creating your own ‘youtube’ videos and even scripts since you were about 4 and we had watched loom band and scrapbooking videos together.

You are a natural presenter, so it will be interesting to see if you end up using those skills as you grow up.
