Each week I share a scrapbook layout to give you a little sneak peek into what I’m scrapping, and inspire you to play with pretty pixels too. Today I’m sharing a page from my family’s album about choosing names.

Names! It's such a big deal for me that I had great difficulty choosing names for our children. I wanted them to go with our unusual surname, or rather, be simple so they wouldn’t spend their whole lives spelling two names. It was even worse after we decided not to use family names! I had already had my big list of family names ready to go!
We looked at nicknames and initials for all the children, but somehow Phill still managed to OK Edward when he wasn't a fan of Eddie, Ed or Ted! So we have an EJ.
We have two Es in our family and even though they are different names it's still confusing! Once, my brother had his parcel pick-up card redirected to Kalgoorlie due to someone misreading Mr M Okely as Miss M Okely.
Even Melissa Okely used to be mistaken over the phone as Mrs Okely. Once as a teenager, I managed to change Mum and Dad's Telstra bill as they wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise. Luckily, I knew what we were looking for in a phone plan and it saved them money so it worked out in the end!
