Each week I share a scrapbook layout to give you a little sneak peek into what I’m scrapping, and inspire you to play with pretty pixels too.
Today I’m sharing several pages from my son Matthew’s baby album. Over the past few years, I've created a baby book for each of my children. I've written about a few ideas I had for making a baby album. I'm simplifying further and creating Matthew's with the Project Life App. I actually was able to keep up with the scrapping each month, but I haven't got around to sharing them here.
Matthew 4-6 Months
How I did it
Here's how the process worked:
- Snap photos on my phone
- Snap photos on my camera (Canon G16) and upload them automatically using my Eye-Fi card
- Write a few notes in my Kikki.K baby journal, Facebook or straight into the app.
- Pull my phone photos into the Project Life App
- Browse my camera photos on the Crashplan App (or the Flickr App depending on the day!) and save them to my phone.
- Make the page in the Project Life App. Here's my tutorial
- I selected Hello Baby Boy kit to keep the pages simple - and super cute!
- Save the page as a 12x12 as you go along.
Journaling
4 Months - You've been blowing bubbles, making new sounds (da, ooh), grabbing and chewing on toys, sucking your thumb and chewing your fingers. You try to give us kisses and are very happy to meet new people. You had your first couple of times at MOPS creche and they were smitten.
Kisses, smiles, coos, you know how to make us feel loved. 6 April - 5 May
You are doing a funny little backstroke crawling thing. You lift your bottom off the mat and push with your feet! You have moved out of Mummy and Daddy's room and love sleeping in your big boy cot. You can now sit up in the pram and love looking around.
5 Months - You are now blowing raspberries and chatting a lot! You love to roll and wiggle around and play with toys. You can give kisses and reach for cuddles. You love to see yourself in the mirror.
This month you: got your first two front teeth (bottom), sat in your Bumbo chair, sat in the high chair. You are wearing size 00. You have been a healthy boy but you had your first cold in early May. You have had to have antibiotics for your left eye that has a blocked tear duct.
6 Months - You are wearing size 00. Your top teeth are so close to coming through. You have had your first tastes of solids and you like food, but are still learning to actually swallow it. You are rolling both ways now and wriggling on your tummy to get where you want to go.
You are close to sitting and often pull away to support yourself in your chairs, on our lap, or the floor. You are an absolute joy and give a beaming smile to each new person you meet.
6 June - 5 July
