Each week I share a scrapbook layout to give you a little sneak peek into what I’m scrapping, and inspire you to play with pretty pixels too.
Today I’m sharing a page from my album.
Layout: Lexus Ball
How I did it
So I'll admit, this was a hard page for me to create. I started with a template, but I wasn't happy it was looking, so just used the circle as inspiration.
I started with a clustered template from the Cluster Queen and added Sahlin Studio Sweet Storytelling and Paislee Press papers. Bits from Dawn Inskip and J Labre too.
It took me over an hour to create. I don't think I have any coral papers in my stash so went with grey and cream. Still not 100% happy but I'm going with it!
Journaling
Phill was invited to the Lexus Ball with NHP (a supplier). I was excited to buy a new dress. Though it would have been lovely if I could have fitted into my older ones! I picked up a dress from a local frock shop at Trappers Shopping Centre. After trying it on with a 6 month old and 3 yo in the room with me (and stepping on the pointy heel of a shoe. I decided to run with a raw silk coral dress for just $60.We had a lovely night, once they realised they missed out setting our table. We sat with a lovely group included Sarah Sutcliife, a ballerina from the WA Ballet (and fellow nail art enthusiast). All the Telethon Entertainers were great and we danced into the night along with thousands of dollars worth of dresses, pearls and the people wearing them.
