This week's peek into my album is here! One of the beautiful of digital scrapbook pages is that I can create a page about a topic and then print is as many times as I need to.
This page includes photos of three of our children so I'll probably add it to each of their albums, and keep another copy for me!
Layout: Bedtime Routine
How I did it
As this page was prompted by a Layout a Day Challenge, I started by writing the journalling.
Then, using my organized photo library I searched for photos tagged bedtime or sleeping. I chose three of my favourites. Then I aligned all the photos added an inner stroke for a border.
This page shows one of my favourite designs. The L (in this case a backwards L) helps me make a cohesive page even with lots of photos and journalling.
I created the title with an alpha, and added the clouds, hot air balloon and word art to the top section.
Then I found an image of our bedtime book cover on the web and added that to the embellishment gathering at the bottom of the page.
Finally I added the stars scatters and the washi strips behind the top and bottom photos (no, they aren't even sticking anything down!).
Journaling
Our bedtime routine has changed recently with Emily and Edward now Mummy has been busy with Lucy so Daddy has been putting you to bed.
Now the routine is something like this:
Bath
Teeth cleaned
Snuggle into Edward’s bed for the Teddy Bear book and song (I love you with the love of the Lord)
Then Emily goes to her room
Edward has his Weetbix
Mummy or Daddy prays with Emily and sing Emily’s choice of song. Right now that’s Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star
Then Edward goes back to bed.
To me it all seems a little convoluted to me right now, but Edward missed having Emily as part of his going to bed routine when we tried to ‘split them up’. I’m sure in a few months it will all be different!
