I’m Katelia and I’m based in Hertfordshire in the UK. 

I discovered scrapbooking when I came up with the idea of creating an album as a wedding gift for my brother. By the time I’d finished that project I had a whole load of stash and was itching to work on my own photos and stories. Having grown up in both the UK and Cyprus, I constantly found myself including Greek in my pages. So I started designing my own papers, titles & elements to incorporate the dual language aspect of my life into my scrapbooks.

Katelia's Inspiration

I’m motivated by stories. The photos and words that tell those stories are at the heart of my scrapbooks. When I design a kit or page, it’s always about helping to tell that story and allow those photos to shine. A short while ago, I brainstormed a list of memories I wanted to record and when I’m low on inspiration I head to that list. Then I’ll either write the journaling for one of those memories or scrapbook one of them. By the time I’ve made that page I’m often well on the way to my next set of designs.

Katelia's Crafting Story

I’ve been a crafter my whole life and have tried almost every craft I’ve ever come across. I always considered myself a project motivated crafter: I’d see a specific project I wanted to re-create and learn only enough to be able to make it. Then suddenly within the space of a couple of years, I discovered that there were in fact two crafts I loved enough to call them hobbies in their own right: scrapbooking and beadwork.
