Year ago when we had our first baby, we were living in Kalgoorlie, a casual eight hour drive away from both sides of our family, not to mention the family who lived on the other side of the country. So I had the idea to make my little girl a 'Facebook' so she could get familiar with loved ones names and faces.
Looking at photos of people in their family helps babies to develop a sense of identity, familiarity, and connection with people they care about. Memory Keeping Mama shared that she made a similar book for her little girl's language development. As we talk with our children about the people in the photos, their names, and their relationship. I love that something so simple can be a helpful way for babies to bond with their family and begin to understand their place in their family unit.
