Each week I share a scrapbook layout to give you a little sneak peek into what I’m scrapping, and inspire you to play with pretty pixels too.
Today I’m sharing a page from my album, as part of the Layout a Day challenge I was asked to use photos taken by someone else and I did. I also took the opportunity to tell the story of Emily's eye patching that was part of her life for a couple of years. It also shows some of our real life. And yes, that's me in my dressing gown!
Layout: Through Emily's Eye
How I did it
I found Emily had been taking some happy snaps on my phone and had even saved an image from an app she played with one morning.
So, instead of just deleting them, I used a favourite Simple Scrapper template from the member template library and created a page. I've used it before, and again here! I simply rotated the template 90 degrees for a new look.
- Clip the photos to the template photo spots
- Choose a background paper
- Clip papers to the paper spots
- Journal with the type tool and my handwriting font
- Create a title with Anna Forrest's All in a Line Script & Action. (Demonstrated in this class!)
- Add shadows
- Add a little paint splatter
- Add a couple embellishments just for fun!
Journalling
Emily captured a slice of life in our Autumn day
Note: Oh and the title? Emily's eye 🙂 (since she had her eye patch on.)

Cute page! I have photos my grandson took last November while we were on a family vacation and plan a spread from Bryan’s point of view. (Hmmm, maybe that could be a P page…)

That would be *P*erfect!!
