I'm back this week with another back-to-school layout, to inspire you to scrap those new school year photos. Today I’m sharing a page from Edward's album for his first day of pre-primary.
Layout: Edward's First Day
How I did it
For this page I layered several background papers to add some interest.
You'll notice a few of my go-to techniques here too:
- White borders on the photos
- Alphas for a title
- Journalling on a clipped down piece of paper.
- My handwriting font
I added a little interest to the top left with an epoxy apple.
Journaling
Edward is excited about pre-primary!
This year he's learning to read and write, creating all kinds of crafts, joining in on our homeschool group excursions and participating in acrobats at Gail Meade Performing Arts Centre.
We have had such a busy time these last few months with concert, Christmas, and John & Kaitlin's wedding is coming on Sunday. But he still couldn't wait to start school!
1 February 2017
In July, he was learning about sets, and asked me if he could cut the dog's bone in half. He didn't want one dog to miss out on a bone. He is a sweetheart and a pleasure to teach.
