If you have piles of zip files cluttering up your hard drives, you will be glad to hear that there in just a couple of days before Get Organized: Supplies will begin!
We'll be doing more than just unzipping though:
- You will learn how to automate the import process
- You will jump start your organizing with pre-made tags
- You'll learn how to avoid tagging altogether with advanced searches
- You'll see how PSE can find all your papers and supplies by colour!
Register today to save $20 off the class.
Class starts on Tuesday, and I don't want you to miss out on the five days of scrappy bootcamp I've got planned.

Melissa I took your last class and loved it. I have never been more organized. Currently just tagging only previews, templates and a few elements. Question: What would you suggest to lower the number of media files I have? What do you suggest to delete from my catalog and what would be the quickest to delete w/o having to go through every file? Untagged items? I have around 266,000 media files and i am afraid of crashing, slowing down, etc. Thanks for your help. Rhadonda
Hi Rhadonda
🙂 So happy to hear it’s working for you!
If you would prefer to cut down on images in the catalog you can do a few things.
I personally do a search for all the anti-piracy and thankyou images and remove them from the catalog.
I also remove PNG and tiff versions of templates.
I’m not sure if you would want to delete untagged items unless you just want to tag previews or papers. If you aren’t using the other supples
In terms of crashing, have you had crashes at all? Just be sure you keep hard drive with some spare room and you should be fine.
I have found PSE 11 and 12 pretty stable, and even if they crash on the odd occasion, the catalog is all intact ready to go after a reboot. I’ve never lost any data.
Thanks Melissa. I had deleted the piracy, thank you, TOU. I will see if i can figure out a quick search for PNG and tiff. I usually download tiff versions too “just in case”. I guess i don’t need to put them in the catalog though.
