Sometimes there's more to the Christmas season than what happens on a specific day, so today's layout shows a few scenes from our advent.

How I did it

1. Select my photos
2. Choose a background papers
3. Mask some paper to fill in the gaps near the photos
4. Add an inside stroke to the photo to create a border
5. Create a mat for journaling with kraft paper
6. Journal with the type tool and my handwriting font
7. Create a title with alphas
8. Add a doily and ric rac plus a mini cluster for instered
9. Add some shadows

Journaling

This year I decided to put our all my Christmas albums and books, so we could look through the, I have

fond memories reading the story of the Nativity from the book The First Christmas, singing from Carol Time and praying the prayer For Christmas from 1959 children's book Tell me about Prayer each night of advent with Mum and Dad.

Emily and Edward enjoyed listening to the acapella carols and we did sing a carol before bed some nights too.

I haven’t given in to Lego Advent Calendars yet (I love them though!) and we are still using the paper on I drew a few years ago.

Over the past few years we’ve done some activities from Truth in the Tinsel and I’m sure we’ll do more as the children grow up.
