Day 18: LIFE BY THE NUMBERS: It’s not a collection, or is it? What do you collect? Is it by accident or on purpose? Is it an official collection or do you just love shoes? How many items are in your collection?
I’m very much a collector, and though I don’t have “official” collections, I do tend to accumulate piles of things that I love. So for this layout I told the bigger story about letting go and actually using my collections.
Journalling
Over the years I’ve had many collections.
Stickers, Easter Egg foil wrappers, pencils, dried roses, nail polish, digital scrapbooking kits, Project Life cards...
The old me would admire, organise and dust these things.
The new me actually uses them.
The turning point came when Caitlin inherited an art set I got for my 10th birthday and it was hardly even used.
Now I’ve put out my best stationery and pens and I’m using them on a daily basis. I make cards with my favourite supplies and I even allow the children to use their Lego club stickers on the day they arrive.
