Each week I share a scrapbook layout to give you a little sneak peek into what I’m scrapping, and inspire you to play with pretty pixels too. Today I’m sharing a page from my little boy's album. My little boy is learning to talk and I'm documenting his progress in my scrapbook album. Have you ever scrapped the same layout twice? I used the same design here for two layouts, first I created this one for Emily along a similar theme.
Layout: Little Talker
How to create the look
Take a template from the Simple Scrapper Premium Membership
Clip a selection of papers to the journal cards spots. I used Dream Chaser by Traci Stroud ; Bluebird by Chelle's Creations available at Scrap Orchard.
Create text boxes for the journalling.
Create a title in one of the card spots with an alpha set. (Learn how)
Use the color picker to match the font colour with the patterned paper.
Add a couple of favorite embellishments.
Journaling
I collected the journaling from social media and a 'to scrap' list I keep. Edward is really trying to talk now. For months he was an expert at the shake/nod and point to get what he needs.
He is adding words on a weekly basis.
Here are some favourites...
18 Months
- mum
- dad
- woof for all animals
- hoo hoo (food)
- grandma
- pop
- shoes
21 Months
- scissors
- duck
- dessert
- nut
- hello
- wa-wa (water)
- ta for yes and please
- me
- Mi for Emily
- all the animal sounds including neigh and clop clop for a horse.
