You can have Organizer notify you when there are new supplies or photos to be imported.
If you are running Photoshop Elements Organizer on a PC, you can easily set up a Watch Folder in Elements Organizer that will actually watch for any new digi supplies or photos you have added since last time you opened Organizer.
Watch folders are available on Mac computers in the Photoshop Elements 15 Organizer and newer.
So, once you've unzipped your new supplies to the folder where you normally store your supplies,
You are ready to set up your "Watch Folder", and here's how to do that:
- In Organizer, go to File>Watch Folders
- Click on the "Add" button and browse to your main folder where you store your supplies.
- Check to Watch Folders and their Sub-Folders for New Supplies
- Check to Automatically Add Files to Elements Organizer
Now each time you open Organizer, it will ask you if you want to import those new files and you can tell it yes.
This is a good opportunity to go ahead and tag and keyword your supplies so you can stay current with your organization and not get behind.

Oh I need your help Melissa – I’ve set up a watch folder. I unzipped a few new kits this morning, opened Elements Organizer-PSE11, but it didn’t find my new items. I have it checked to watch sub-folders as well.
This has happened to me over and over and over. I always have to try to remember what I purchased that hasn’t been imported yet and do it by each folder separately.
What am I doing wrong?

Hmm, I would suggest a reboot and try again.
Check the settings in watched folders that it doesn’t say ‘Notify me’
If you have chosen don’t import and don’t remind me it remembers it
Let me know how you go!
