Journaling

My word for 2018 is FORWARD. I can't help but think of Guildford Grammar School's motto Go Forward. I want to stop living in the could have been, looking to the past and reminiscing for things that have been.

I tried to move forward all year. I tried not to dwell on things, to think of what could be wonderful and joyful about the future.

I chose the word ENJOY for my One Little Word for 2019. I'm taking small steps to make daily life more fun. Big steps to try new things. I felt it was a little indulgent, but my friend Keren had some great insight: "Not indulgent! In fact, it's Biblical. Ecclesiastes 2:24 - There is nothing for a person than that he should eat and drink and find enjoyment in his toil. This also, I saw, is from the hand of God."
