It's about that time of year that we all think about planning for next year. Are you a planner girl? I hopped on the planner train in 2014, and I'm not getting off any time soon. Today I'd like to introduce you to Mim Jenkinson at www.lovefrommim.com who has some inspiration for you today.

If you’re like many planners and journallers, then your desk is probably cluttered with piles of sticky
notes and notepads? I personally use them for everything!
But did you know that stickers can be used inside your planner, as well as on your desk? Many
people use planner stickers because they’re a great way to personalize your planner and give it that
extra flair!
There are so many different ways for you to show off your personality with these little pieces of
paper, from the type of stickers you buy, to where you place them in your planner.
For those who love their planners as much as they love life itself (ME!), here's a list of eight things
about this cool craft that I find so interesting!
- You can get creative, even if you’re not naturally artistic.
In fact, when I got started making my own stickers, it had been years since I’d done anything
particularly crafty, let alone arty.
You don’t need to be able to draw to make your own stickers though as there are plenty of
colours and patterns available to download or purchase to use in your own sticker designs. - You can choose the size and thickness of your stickers.
If you have a particular planner, or preference, for the kind of stickers you want to make,
you’ll love making your own.
You get to choose the sticker paper to use – quality, thickness and feel. Plus, when you make
your own stickers you can make them to custom fit any planner – even one you’ve designed
yourself! - It is a fun project that you can do with kids or by yourself.
Who says crafting is only for the kids? Making stickers is so joyful and it’s a creative hobby
you can do by yourself or with your little ones.
My little kids are fascinated by my sticker-making and it blows their minds that I can design,
print and cut our own stickers at home.
I can’t wait for them to be old enough to start making them with me! - It’s cheaper to make your own than to buy them.
When I switched from buying stickers from ALL the Etsy shops to making my own, I saved so
much money.
I was wasting money on buying expensive sticker kits and many of the stickers went unused
because I only needed very specific ones.
What You'll Need
To make your own stickers, you’ll need a computer or laptop, a colour printer and a cutting
machine such as Silhouette Portrait or Cricut. However, you can also cut your stickers with
scissors or a craft knife. If you need ideas, here's Melissa's favorites!
Planning out your day is easy when you have stickers to help! Whether it's a sticky note or your very
own planner stickers; planning is much easier when you have stickers to arrange your day to suit
you.
Making planner stickers is a great way to get creative and have fun with a hobby you can do at
home.
I loved the process of learning to make stickers so much myself and when others started asking me
how I was doing it, I began to teach them too! Now, I’ve taught over 2500 people all over the world to make their own beautiful stickers and many have gone on to open their own Etsy shop with the Sticker Shop Plan.
Would you like to try making your own stickers?
