Each week I share a scrapbook layout to give you a little sneak peek into what I’m scrapping, and inspire you to play with pretty pixels too.
Today I’m sharing a page from my Emily's album.
Layout: Sweetheart
How I did it
- Start with a template you love!
- I rotated my template 90 degrees and changed the length of the scalloped piece
- Select your photos and clip them to the photo spots
- Select a kit and clip papers to the spots in the template
- Add a journalling card
- Add text to the card with a handwriting font
- Add a title with word art/wood veneer
- Add two more wood veneers to keep with that rule of three! (Learn more about that in Digital Scrapbooking for Absolute Beginners)
- Finish with a bow!
- Add some shadow styles
Journaling
Early morning present opening as usual with Emily. Edward was keen to 'help' too! Emily loved the new shoes and the zebra slippers made her laugh.

Melissa, I only have Photoshop Elements 6.0 and I don’t see that you go back that far, maybe to 8.0.version. Would you recommend the 14 version before I sign up so that it coor
dinates with your tutorials? Terise G

PSE6 is similar to PSE8, so you could always use those classes.
If you want to follow along with the Big Picture Classes ones v14 would make sense, then you can follow along exactly. Just a heads up though, Adobe usually releases a new version around this time of year.
